In case you missed it, here are the four games available through Xbox Games with Gold in December 2021.
Headlining December’s Games with Gold lineup is Mouldy Toof’s strategy game The Escapists 2. Each prison’s routine is a treat to observe as you plan your escape using crafted tools and your imagination. Solo breakouts are good fun, but the game truly comes alive make a break for freedom with friends in co-op mode.
Next is strategy management sim Tropico 5. The 2019 sequel is a better game, but the fifth entry is a good place to start if you’re new to the series. The game takes place across four eras – Colonial, World Wars, Cold Wars and Modern – each with its own objectives. Once that’s completed – which is no small task – the sandbox mode offers almost limitless gameplay.
December’s final two games are Orcs Must Die! and cult favourite puzzle shooter Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.
