The Xbox Games with Gold lineup for February 2021 includes a stunning third-person shooter and a horror classic.

Following last week’s Xbox Live Gold pricing snafu, it’s clear that Microsoft would like everyone to migrate over to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate as soon as possible. Nonetheless, the latest Games with Gold lineup proves that there’s still value in a Gold subscription, with five (mostly excellent) games to download.

The headline act is Gears 5, the stunning 2019 third-person shooter from The Coalition. It’s an action-packed and varied adventure that features a host of thrilling set pieces and a surprisingly engaging story.

Resident Evil needs little introduction, but if you only joined the series with episode 7 or the excellent remakes of 2 and 3, we absolutely recommend a trip to Raccoon City to see how the franchise began.

Next up is Dandara: Trials of Feat Edition, an enjoyable – and frequently inventive – Metroidvania from Long Hat House.

February’s lineup is completed by Capcom’s overlooked sci-fi action game Lost Planet 2, and the classic OG Xbox adventure, Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb.

The latest Games with Gold will be available to download and keep for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members between the following dates.

Xbox Games With Gold – February 2021

Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One

  • Gears 5 – February 1 – 28
  • Resident Evil – February 1 to-28
  • Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition – February 16 – March 15
  • Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb – February 1 – 15
  • Lost Planet 2 – February 16 – 28

Of last month’s free games, Breakdown and Little Nightmares are still available to download until the end of the month. Dead Rising is available until February 15, 2021.
