The Xbox Games with Gold lineup for October 2021 includes deep cuts from the Resident Evil and Castlevania franchises.
October’s Games with Gold are another left-field collection of titles from the Xbox back catalogue. (All the big hits can be found on Xbox Game Pass, of course.)
First up is Aaero, the stylish rhythm action rail shooter from Mad Fellows. The 2017 game features eye-popping visuals and a soundtrack with contributions from Noisia, Flux Pavilion, Katy B, The Prototypes, and Neosignal.
Futuristic parkour game Hover – another 2017 release – is next on the list. It’s a quietly inventive and energetic adventure set in a colourful open world. The solo campaign is fun and, from what we can remember, so are the multiplayer options.
October’s other Games with Gold releases are the loot-driven co-op platformer Castlevania: Harmony of Despair and the Xbox 360 remaster of Resident Evil Code: Veronica X.

Some of September’s games are still available, Samurai Shodown II and Warhammer: Chaosbane are free until the end of the month and Mulaka is available until October 15.
