Xbox Games with Gold - February 2017

Here are the four titles coming to Xbox Games With Gold in February 2017.

Microsoft has revealed the Xbox Live Games With Gold line-up for February 2017, and it’s another corker.

Xbox One owners will be able to download Asteroid Base’s delightful co-op shooter, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, in good time for Valentine’s Day. It’s joined on February 16 by Project Cars: Digital Edition, the impressive driving game from Slightly Mad Studios that, to our minds, is the perfect blend of arcade thrills and racing simulation.

Over on Xbox 360 – and Xbox One via the dark arts of Backwards Compatibility – are two worthy releases from the LucasArts archive. First up is the classic adventure game, Monkey Island 2: Special Edition. It’s followed two weeks later by Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, the flawed but enjoyable tale of naughty Jedi, Starkiller.

Xbox Games With Gold February 2016

  • Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime ($14.99 ERP): February 1-28 on Xbox One
  • Project Cars Digital Edition ($29.99 ERP): February 16-March 15 on Xbox One
  • Monkey Island 2: Special Edition ($9.99 ERP): February 1-15 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed ($19.99 ERP): from February 16-28 on Xbox 360 & Xbox One

Until January 31 you can still pick up two of last month’s Games with Gold; World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap and Rayman Origins. And until February 15,  Xbox Live Gold subscribers can still download Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
