Just Cause 4 leads the lineup of new video games coming to the Xbox One between December 3-7, 2018.

Our Xbox One pick of the week sees Rico Rodriguez return to action in Just Cause 4. Avalanche Studios’ open world action game looks to be a significant step up from its predecessor, and is the only game we can think of that fulfils our childhood dream of launching a rocket into a tornado.

We’re also excited for Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, the spiritual successor to Wonder Boy from Game Atelier. The game has had a convoluted development, but the input of series creator, Ryuichi Nishizawa, is reassuring. If the game is as good as Lizardcube’s excellent remake of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, we’re in for a treat.

Fans of The Witcher can also look forward to the release of version 1.0 of Gwent, and its single-player isometric RPG spin-off, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.

Other games coming to the Xbox One include Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek, and Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden.

All of next week’s games are available from the Xbox digital store, or via the Microsoft web store. Here’s the full release lineup.
