Here’s the full lineup of new video games coming to the Xbox One between November 5-9, 2018.
Yes, we’re all still playing Red Dead Redemption 2, but other games do exist, apparently. So let’s take an Arthur Morgan-like peruse at the shelves of the Xbox One store, and discover some new games to take back to camp.
Tuesday sees the long-awaited release of Brawlhalla, the popular multiplayer fighter from Blue Mammoth. The game wears its influences proudly, and although it never quite succeeds in topping Super Smash Bros., it’s jolly good fun with friends. Or enemies.
Also worth a look is Grip: Combat Racing, a new Rollcage-like racer from Caged Element. Early reviews are mostly promising, and if you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass you’ll get the game at launch as part of your membership.
Also released this week is Square Enix’s World of Final Fantasy Maxima, an updated version of the turn-based RPG that brings together a wealth of fan-favourite Final Fantasy characters.
Our final pick is Chasm, an action platformer from Bit Kid Games. It’s sometimes repetitive, but often beautiful, and often inventive.
All of this week’s releases are available from the Xbox digital games store, or via the Microsoft web store. Here’s the full release lineup.
