Here’s the full lineup of new Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One video games released between December 14-18, 2020.
Next week’s lineup of new Xbox releases has a familiar feel about it, largely because a large percentage of the games have already been seen on other platforms. As it happens, this is no bad thing, as one of those games is Wilmot’s Warehouse.
This masterful puzzler from Hollow Ponds should appeal to anyone who, in the studio’s own terms, enjoys organising for pleasure. Sorting parcels might sound dull, but a crisp visual treatment and smart design make the game a therapeutic joy to play. It’s also a sublime two-player experience.
Another highlight is Goetia, the spooky Victorian point-and-click adventure from Sunshee. The game oozes mood and features a rich narrative. If you can get over the occasionally obtuse design (a recurring problem of the genre), there’s much enjoy.
Our last pick is Hivebusters, the new three-hour-long story add-on for Gears 5. More Gears is never a bad thing, and the expansion is also included with Xbox Game Pass. If you haven’t played the base game, it’s available to download and play for free until Sunday.
Every title on this list is available from the Xbox digital games store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. We’ll keep this post updated throughout the week with any late additions.
