Dark Light

Looking for some new Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One games? Here’s the full lineup of games released between December 7-11, 2020.

We enjoyed Puyo Puyo Tetris when it came to Nintendo Switch in 2017. Sega served up a clever mashup of two puzzle classics wrapped in a colourful – but headache-inducing – narrative. Follow-up Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 adds a new character-based Skill Battle mode and improvements to the generous range of online modes. If you don’t have the original, it will likely come recommended. If you do, you might want to assess how much value the changes add to an already solid first entry.

Call of the Sea is a first-person adventure game set on Southern Pacific island in the 1930s. The game has a delightful art-style and an intriguing combination of puzzle-solving and exploration. Visual, it evokes Thumbsticks favourite Firewatch, a connection further strengthened by Delilah actor Cissy Jones in the role of protagonist Norah.

Other new Xbox releases include Killer Chambers, Cyberpunk 2077, and My Hidden Things. Destiny 2 also gets a Xbox Series X|S upgrade.

Every game on this list is available through the Xbox digital games store and playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. We’ll keep this post updated throughout the week with any late additions.
