Marvelous has confirmed the PlayStation 4 release date for action RPG remaster, Ys: Memories of Celceta. How marvellous!

Ys: Memories of Celceta will be released physically and digitally for PlayStation 4 on June 19, 2020. The game is published by Marvelous in Europe and Australia, and Xseed in North America.

Originally released for the PlayStation Vita in 2012, the game is getting a full makeover with 60 FPS high-definition graphics, and a new control scheme that attempts to replicate the touch screen functions of the original handheld version.

The remaster also features two audio tracks, allowing players to choose between the original Japanese performances with localised text or English voice acting.

The standard edition – which will be available from the usual retailers –  is joined by a Digital Deluxe Edition that comes with access to a Ys Musical Selections: Past and Present digital soundtrack app and an exclusive PS4 theme.

Based on the new trailer, the game is coming along nicely.

The game follows the exploits of amnesiac swordsman Adol Christin, who finds himself alone in a frontier village and drawn into an adventure across an untamed wilderness.
