Nihon Falcom has announced that Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will release on PlayStation 5 later this year.
The Fall release marks the series debut on PS5 and includes all previously released cosmetic DLC from the PS4 and PS Vita versions.
Ys VIII follows the adventures of Adol, an unlucky chap who finds himself in a pickle when he is shipwrecked on a dangerous island. Haunted by dreams of a mysterious blue-haired woman, Adol recruits a team of fellow castaways and attempts an escape. Adventure, as you can imagine, ensues.
The well-received action JRPG debuted on PlayStation Vita in 2016 and has since been ported to PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, mobile, and even Stadia. It’s only fair PS5 owners should get their own version.
