Nighthawk Interactive and iam8bit announce physical editions of Disney’s Aladdin and The Lion King.

Gaming collectable specialists Nighthawk Interactive and iam8bit have unveiled some rather beautiful physical editions of Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King. And even better, brand new SNES and Sega Genesis cartridges of the original games are also on the way.

Nighthawk are releasing Retro Editions of Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King for the Nintendo Switch. They include the new remasters in classic Sega Genesis or SNES-style packaging. Each release also includes an exclusive poster and printed manual. They are due for release on December 10, 2019, priced at $49.99.

iam8bit are also releasing the original 16-bit Aladdin and The Lion King games as part of its Legacy Cartridge Collection. Aladdin will be released for the NTSC Sega Genesis and PAL Sega Mega Drive. The Lion King will be compatible with the SNES. Each cartridge is fully playable and adorned with lovingly restored cover art. Each game will have a limited run of 4,500 and is priced at $99.99. Pre-orders open on the iam8bit website at 10 a.m. PT on October 24, 2019.

If you don’t manage to grab one of the new physical releases, the digital versions of each remaster will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 29, 2019. Each one features multiple game versions, 1080p graphics, a museum, a gamplay rewind feature, and play-through videos.
