The first Assassin’s Creed Origins story DLC sneaks onto PS4, Xbox One, and PC today.
Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones picks up Bayek’s story four years after the events of the main game. Set in the newly added Sinai region, the campaign sees the Brotherhood clash with an occupying Roman force.
The DLC also increases the level cap to 45, and adds four new Legendary weapons, new costumes, two new mounts, and an assortment of new standard weapons.
The Hidden Ones was mistakenly released early on Xbox One last week, deployed in error alongside a software update. Although the mistake was quickly rectified, players who downloaded the DLC were able to keep it. Early word is positive.
In a lovely statement to Kotaku, Ubisoft said:
“The Hidden Ones DLC was unintentionally made available early for some Xbox One players. We have removed the DLC from the game store, however players who already downloaded the DLC are still able to play it. These players will now be known as “The Lucky Ones.”
Here’s a trailer of what’s in store:
The Hidden Ones is included as part of the Assassin’s Creed Origins season pass, and can also be purchased separately.
More DLC will be added over the next two months. The free educational mode – Discovery Tour by Assassin’s Creed: Ancient Egypt – arrives on February 20th, and The Curse of the Pharaohs follows on March 6, 2018.
