God of War, Celeste, Gris, and Red Dead Redemption 2 are among the games nominated at the 2019 BAFTA Games Awards.

God of War leads the list of nominees at this year’s British Academy Games Awards with 10 nominations. The game is recognised in the Narrative, Artistic Achievement, and Game Design categories, to name just three.

God of War is also up for Best Game along with Assassin’s Creed OdysseyAstro Bot: Rescue Mission, CelesteRed Dead Redemption 2, and Return of the Obra Dinn. Lucas Pope’s insurance investigation caper gets six nominations, as does Red Dead Redemption 2, and mobile hit, Florence.

The award for Debut Game looks to be one of the most hotly contested categories, with nods for Beat Saber, Cultist SimulatorDonut CountyFlorenceGris, and Yoku’s Island Express. How do you even begin to choose between them?

The British Academy Games Awards take place on April 4, 2019 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. The ceremony will once again be hosted by Dara O’Briain, and livestreamed on Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer.
