Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 holds on to top spot in the UK video games chart, as Soulcalibur VI enters at No.8.

It’s as you were at the top of the UK video games chart, with Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 remaining at No.1. There’s no movement in second or third places either, with FIFA 19, and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey both holding on to last week’s chart positions.

There are two new entries in the top ten. Lego DC Super-Villains debuts at No.6 – proving that TT Games’ finely tuned Lego formula is as appealing as ever – and Bandai Namco fighter, Soulcalibur VI, lands at No. 8.

Elsewhere, Forza Horizon 4 continues to perform well, holding firm in fifth. And PlayStation 4 exclusive, Marvel’s Spider-Man, swings two positions up the chart into fourth. Last week’s No.4, WWE 2K19, falls seven places to eleventh.

Further down the chart there’s a reappearance for Dark Souls at No.12, which was finally released for the Nintendo Switch. Ubisoft’s Starlink: Battle for Atlas enters two places lower at No.14. It’s hard to gauge how a toys-to-life game should perform in 2018, but its evident that some Star Fox magic has helped the Switch version, which accounted for 80% of the game’s first week sales.

Luigi’s Mansion for the Nintendo 3DS also performs creditably, entering the chart at No. 29.
