Cyberpunk 2077 sales down 80%, loses top spot in UK games chart

Dark Light

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes No.1 in the UK video games chart. The troubled Cyberpunk 2077 falls to third place.

Following a disastrous launch on PS4 and Xbox One, it’s no surprise to report that Cyberpunk 2077 has dropped from No.1 in the latest UK physical software chart. Retail sales of the game have fallen 80% according to Gamesindustry.biz. Cyberpunk 2077 now sits at No.3, with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War at No. 2, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla taking the prize of this year’s Christmas No.1.

Elsewhere, FIFA 21 moves up one place to No.4, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe holds steady at No.7, and Ring Fit Adventure re-enters the top ten, leaping from No.16 to No. 9.

Further down the chart, The Last of Us Part II remains at No.30 following its success at The Game Awards, and there’s a re-entry at No.37 for PGA Tour 2K21. Here’s the full UK top ten for the week ending December 19, 2020.
