Deadly Premonition creator hints at his next project The Missing

Dark Light

The creative mind behind the infamous Deadly Premonition, Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro, has teased his next game, The Missing.

Suehiro announced the game by way of the following video, revealing that it will launch for consoles in 2018:

There isn’t a lot to actually go on in that video, given that it splices film footage with close-ups of pixels and code.

Suehiro describes the game as being about, “A missing person, someone who’s lost, or even something lost. Maybe it’s your loved one, or a place you belong. Do you ever feel lost in your everyday life? The Missing is for someone like you.”

After leaving Access Games in 2016, Suehiro founded a studio called White Owls. With Arc System Works picking up publishing duties, The Missing will be the studio’s first game.

This project comes after a failed pitch for The Good Life, a game about cats which Suehiro attempted to fund on Fig, and is now set to reappear on Kickstarter in the future.
