FIFA 19 hustles Marvel’s Spider-Man from the top of the UK video games chart, as Valkyria Chronicles IV debuts in the top ten.
EA Sports’ FIFA 19 has entered the GfK UK software charts at No.1. The game topples Insomniac’s PlayStation 4 exclusive, Marvel’s Spider-Man, which falls down to second place in its fourth week on the chart.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider also falls one place, down to No.3. However, its three-week run in the top five bodes well for a game that many commentators thought would be overlooked. The only other new entry in the top ten is Sega’s tactical RPG sequel, Valkyria Chronicles IV, which enters at No.9.
Other games in the top ten include The Elder Scrolls Online, which jumps from No.21 to No. 7 due to recent discounts, Crash Bandicoot N’Sane Trilogy, which bubbles along at No.4, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which falls one place to sixth.
Elsewhere, Dragon Ball Fighterz is a re-entry at No.29 due to its Nintendo Switch release. Tekken 7 and Project Cars 2 also benefit from various promotions to re-chart at No.19 and No.20, respectively.
