We’ve already seen Black Friday offerings from Nintendo and PlayStation; now Microsoft is getting in on the action with the Xbox Black Friday sale.

Nintendo’s Black Friday offerings have, thus far, been a little meagre. PlayStation, on the other hand, has gone big on discounts – perhaps they’re trying to save face for something?

Now it’s Microsoft’s turn, and the Xbox Black Friday sale is really rather good… providing you’re an Xbox Live Gold member. Plenty of relatively recent games are up for discounts, too, and there are good savings on Xbox One exclusives.

If you’re into sports there is, for example, 40% off FIFA 19 and 50% off Madden 19, with 35% off Forza Horizon 4. If you’re looking for an adventure you’ll find 50% off Sea of Thieves, Monster Hunter World, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Here are our picks of the Xbox Black Friday sale:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – 30% off
  • Red Dead Redemption 2: Special Edition – 10% off
  • Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – 40% off
  • NBA 2K19 – 40% off
  • Rainbow Six Siege Advanced Edition – 70% off
  • No Man’s Sky – 20% off
  • Cuphead – 20% off
  • PUBG – 40% off
  • The Evil Within 2 – 75% off
  • Abzu – 50% off
  • Brothers: a Tale of Two Sons – 70% off
  • Burnout Paradise Remastered – 60% off
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy – 35% off

There are, at the time of writing, nearly 450 Xbox One games – including special editions and DLC – available with varying degrees of discount in the Xbox Black Friday sale.

There are also over 150 Xbox 360 games discounted in the Xbox Black Friday sale, too. Pair that with backwards compatibility and you’ve got a great way to play classic games on the cheap, including the first Red Dead Redemption with 67% off.

Available games and discounts may vary by region; the above discounts are all based on UK offers. Don’t forget that these prices are only available to Xbox Live Gold members, but you can join Gold for just £1 this month.

We’re not saying that you should sign up for Gold, buy a bunch of games at a steep discount, then cancel your membership. But you totally could.

We may receive a small commission for purchases made from online stores.
