Rockstar has announced a boat load of new content for GTA Online today, along with sales and double reward opportunities.

From now until May 7th, players will be able to earn double the money and RP in all of the thirty Special Vehicle Races.

There are new races for Thrusters, Deluxos, and Strombergs:

There are a number of Warstock Cache & Carry items on sale as well:

  • Thruster – 25% off
  • Deluxo – 25% off
  • Stromberg – 25% off
  • Ruiner 2000 – 25% off
  • Rocket Voltic – 25% off
  • Blazer Aqua – 25% off

The Special Vehicle races are as follows, from the official Rockstar site:

IMPONTE DELUXO RACES

  • Stadium Flyover: The whole stadium is on its feet waiting for the all-American finale: a low-level flyover by levitating sports cars.
  • Raton Race: Raton Canyon is the kind of rugged terrain that makes any red-blooded adrenaline junkie reach for their climbing boots— or the keys to their flying car.
  • Cresting: Whether you’re driving, surfing the waves, soaring above the mountains, or doing all the above in your Deluxo – there’s nothing quite like the San Andreas coastline.
  • Techno: This is no edible-fueled night in Los Santos – when your car takes off and starts flying, that’s every bit as real as the psychedelic tunnels and rings of fire.

OCELOT STROMBERG RACES

  • Spindrift: As an underwater labyrinth strewn with naval mines gradually reveals itself, try to remember that every moment of paralyzed terror is a moment off your lap time.
  • The Kraken: Fair warning. If you’ve ever had bad calamari, this one is probably not for you.
  • Plunge: Every pro racer knows to keep a finger on submersible mode when there’s suddenly no more track and you’re soaring into the stratosphere with only the ocean as your landing pad.

MAMMOTH THRUSTER RACES

  • Vinewood Air Tours: Welcome to the high life— the neon glow of the city, the Vinewood sign shining from the hills, 1,000 pounds of thrust roaring at your back and the prospect of horrifying mid-air collisions.
  • Chiliad Drop: One minute you’re soaring over the summit of Mount Chiliad, the next you’re strafing into a cliff with only some rocket fuel and the promise of bragging rights to cushion the blow.
  • FlyLo Challenge: The survival rate in a Los Santos road tunnel at rush hour could only get lower if road-raging maniacs ditched their cars and used jetpacks instead. But that would never happen.

This week’s premium race is “Downtown Loop,” with super vehicles. The Time Trial event is “Fort Zancudo.” There is triple RP for all participants.

New PlayStation 4 releases (July 6-10, 2020)

New PlayStation 4 game releases
Sony / Thumbsticks

CrossCode and Superliminal are among this week’s lineup of new PlayStation 4 video game releases.

The slight lull in new games following the release of The Last of Us Part II ends this week with a varied crop of new PS4 games.

CrossCode is the obvious pick. It’s a retro-style RPG from Radical Fish Games with puzzles worthy of the best Zelda titles, a smart story, and excellent production values.

Another highlight is Superliminal. Pillow Castle’s game befuddles the mind with an enjoyable adventure packed with optical illusions and perspective bending puzzles.

Two new PS4 acing games also go head-head. This year’s NASCAR instalment is under the stewardship 704games and has come in for a little heat from fans in the run-up to release. Expect modest improvements over last year’s entry.

Meanwhile, F1 2020 sees Codemasters continue to refine its officially licenced racing sim with a wealth of updates including new team management features and historical Formula One cars. We’re not so thrilled by the prospect of the Podium Pass, which players can buy to unlock celebration animations and race suits.

Other new PS4 releases include Lanternium and Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2. We’ll update this page if we get news of any late additions.

New Nintendo Switch eShop releases
Nintendo / Thumbsticks

Take a look at the new Nintendo Switch releases coming to the eShop between July 6-10, 2020.

Nintendo Switch owners are spoilt for choice this week with another packed lineup of promising new eShop releases. Let’s start with a game we know is excellent.

CrossCode is a super cool retro-style RPG from Radical Fish Games with a focus on action, Zelda-style puzzling, and a clever meta-narrative. The game was a smash hit on PC, and we’d be surprised if it isn’t even more of a success on Switch.

We’re also excited to play Superliminal on Nintendo’s flexible console. If the port of Pillow Castle’s first-person optical illusion game is up to scratch, we absolutely recommend this inventive and playful perspective pondering puzzler.

Next, we have a trio of distinctly Japanese games. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 is Koji Igarashi’s sequel to the 8-bit Ritual of the Night companion piece.

Catherine: Full Body is a remaster of Zero Studio’s 2011 cult classic. It’s equal parts visual novel, puzzle game, and troubling fever dream.

And finally, how do you create a sequel to the world’s best worst video game? We find out this week when Hidetaka Suehiro’s Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise rolls into town. Expect another instalment of surreal detective work, intriguing characters, and broadly competent gameplay.

Other new games include The Great Perhaps, Laraan, and Distraint 2.

We’ll update this page with any late additions throughout the week. In the meantime, here is this week’s lineup of brand new Nintendo eShop releases.
