Bandai Namco have announced the Nintendo Switch and PC release date for Katamari Damacy Reroll.
The remaster of Keita Takahashi’s PlayStation 2 cult favourite will be, erm, rolling onto Nintendo Switch and PC on December 7, 2018.
Katamari Damacy Reroll is the same core game as the 2004 original, but features completely remastered high-definition graphics and cut scenes.
The Switch version will also support Joy-Con motion controls – in TV and table-top modes – that allows players to control the game’s Prince with a simple twist of the wrist. The game also includes a local multiplayer mode that can be played using a single Joy-Con for each participant.
Katamari Damacy Reroll was announced during last week’s Nintendo Direct, and is one of a slew of remakes and remasters heading to the Switch. Not that we’re grumbling, of course. The original is a cult classic for good reason, and we hope this remaster is successful enough to ensure that sequel We Love Katamari gets the same treatment.
