Kingdom Hearts III gives the series its first ever UK video games chart No.1.

This week’s UK video games chart from GfK sees the long-awaited Square Enix RPG, Kingdom Hearts III, debut at No.1.

It’s the best chart performance by the series so far, and knocks Capcom’s remake of Resident Evil 2 down one place.

There’s little change in the rest of the Top Ten. Red Dead Redemption 2, FIFA 19, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Call of Duty Black Ops 4 all play musical chairs, and Nintendo Switch platformer, Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, shows some staying power with a slight drop in its third week to No. 6.

Further down the chart there’s a new entry for Dragons: Dawn of the New Riders at No. 37. Fallout 76 drops ten places to No.34, and the Rocket League Collector’s Edition re-enters the chart at No.35.

And let’s consider poor Eevee. Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu! sits at No.21, but the game’s Eevee variant is right down at No.39. Don’t worry, Eevee, we love you!
