Nintendo announces a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening in a packed Nintendo Direct.
Last night’s Nintendo Direct saw Deputy General Manager, Yoshiaki Koizumi, power through a torrent of new Nintendo Switch game announcements and release dates.
The broadcast opened with the reveal of Super Mario Maker 2 and closed with the unexpected news of a Nintendo Switch remake of the classic Nintendo Game Boy game, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
In between, there were updates on Dragon Quest XII S, a new BoxBoy game, new Starfox DLC for Starlink: Battle for Atlas, Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered, a new title from PlatinumGames, and plenty more.
Aside from the obvious crowd pleasers, there was also the reveal and release of Tetris 99, a new free game for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
