Warner Bros. and TT Games confirm October release date for Lego DC Super-Villains.
Have you ever wanted to be an evil super villain, but lack the money, insanity, or chutzpah? Worry no more, because Lego DC Super-Villains is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 19, 2018.
The latest game in the long running series of Lego games from Travellers Tales puts a player-created super-villain centre stage for the first time. A wide range of iconic – and, hopefully, some delightfully obscure – DC super villains will then join in the fun on an adventure to take down the mysterious ‘Justice Syndicate’.
Tom Stone, managing director, of TT Games, said:
“Lego DC Super-Villains provides players a fun and humorous way to cause mischief by unleashing their DC Super-Villain’s sinister powers and amusing abilities. With an unprecedented amount of customisation options to choose from, players can create and customise their character at the start of the story, unlocking new powers and abilities as they progress through the funniest Lego game to date.”
Ames Kirshen, VP of Interactive & Animation at DC Entertainment, added:
“The original story in Lego DC Super-Villains flips the DC universe upside down as players embark on an unforgettable adventure starring memorable villains set across notable DC locations. DC’s roster of iconic Super-Villains is unmatched and fans will love teaming up with The Joker, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor and a host of others to save Earth from a greater evil.”
As you’d expect. the game features unlockable abilities and powers, a wealth of customisation options, and two-player, local co-op gameplay.
Lego DC Super-Villains will be released in various editions. The Deluxe Edition will include all future Season Pass content, plus early access to the DC Super-Villains: TV Series DLC Character Pack. Digital deluxe editions will be bundled with the Justice League Dark DLC Character Pack.
The physical Deluxe and Standard Editions will come with an exclusive Lego minifigure, Lex Luthor Superman.
