Everybody’s favourite giant ape – after King Kong, of course – comes to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle via upcoming DLC.
Remember how we all thought Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was going to be terrible? I mean, it’s got Rabbids in it – that’s a massive red flag. Then it came out, and it was rather splendid. So good, in fact, it made it onto our game of the year list; ahead of Splatoon 2, no less.
There was an omission from the roster, however. There was a large, ape-like Rabbid, wearing a natty red tie, but the Kong himself was nowhere to be seen.
Thankfully, that mistake is soon to be rectified. In an as-yet-unnamed DLC, releasing in spring 2018, Donkey Kong will be joining the Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle roster. He’s even getting an additional storyline and a brand new world to romp about in.
There’s also a teaser trailer:
Which really doesn’t tell us very much at all, but it’s bright and colourful and full of movement, which we find pleasing.
