A brand new sale of indie games begins today on the Nintendo Switch eShop. 

It hasn’t taken long for the Nintendo eShop to become swamped with indie games, particularly as the Switch plays catch up with titles already released on PC and other consoles and PC.

The new Nindies sale on Nintendo Switch highlights nine titles that all deserve to do well, whether it’s Drool’s bone-crunching Thumper, or Ron Gilbert’s evocative graphic adventure, Thimbleweed Park. Unlike other recent eShop promotions, the discounts are also pretty good this time.

As visibility becomes more and more of a problem, sales are an increasingly important way of giving indies another chance to find an audience. The PlayStation Store – which is swamped with games – shows where the eShop might be heading, with its near-permanent state of promotional price-cutting.

The sale runs until January 15th 2018 in North America, Europe and Australia and New Zealand. Here’s the full lineup:

  • Inversus Deluxe – 35% off
  • Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime – 33% off
  • Semispheres – 30% off

  • Thimbleweed Park – 25% off
  • Thumper – 33% off

All of the developers involved in the sale will also be doing a group Ask Me Anything on Reddit today at 2PM EST / 11AM PST / 8PM CET.

And if you’re looking for some new games to play, this week’s Nintendo eShop releases includes The Escapists 2, Furi, and a reissue of Super Meat Boy.
