It seems that a developer within Konami has hidden a coded message in Metal Gear Survive lamenting the departure of Kojima productions and criticising the game’s director.

At the beginning of the game’s campaign, you are prompted to enter your name and you see it added to a clipboard of other recruits – all codenames.

Users on Reddit pointed out that if you look at the first letter of the last names on the list, it spells out “KJP Forever” – likely meaning Kojima Productions Forever.

Elsewhere on the list, two of the names have quite negative meanings: “Bastard Yota” and “Cunning Yuji” could well refer to Metal Gear Survive’s director Yota Tsutsumizaki and its producer Yuji Korekado.

There are also two soldiers on the list with last names beginning with ‘M’ and ‘G’ (for Metal Gear) and both are listed as KIA.

Konami terminated Hideo Kojima’s contract in 2015, disbanding his studio Kojima Productions after the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Metal Gear Survive isn’t anything to do with Kojima – who is currently working on Death Stranding.
