Troy Baker and Emily O’Brien have both joined the cast of the upcoming Death Stranding, Hideo Kojima’s enigmatic game headed to the PS4.
O’Brien announced the news on her Instagram with a picture of herself with Troy Baker and Norman Reedus. The caption read: “Honored to be working alongside these two fine lads on Hideo Kojima’s new project Death Stranding. I’m a lucky gal ;)”
Baker is perhaps best known for his role as Joel in The Last of Us, but has been in many huge games including Bioshock: Infinite, Batman: Arkham City, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
O’Brien is in the upcoming Days Gone from Sony’s Bend Studios, along with Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Batman: The Enemy Within.
The two excellent actors join a cast that’s already impressive, with Norman Reedus and Guillermo del Toro lending their talents to Kojima’s project.
We still don’t know much about Death Stranding and the trailers that have released for the game, including the eight-minute-long trailer which debuted at last year’s game awards, haven’t given us a lot to go on. That’s no bad thing.
There isn’t an official release date for the game either, with Kojima hinting at the possibility of a release in 2018.
