Capcom has confirmed the dates and times of the first two Monster Hunter World: Iceborne betas, both of which are exclusive to PlayStation 4.
The first Monster Hunter World: Iceborne beta will start at 3am PDT/11am BST on June 12, and run through to 3am PDT/11am on June 24, 2019. A second beta will be held at the same times between June 28 and July 1, 2019.
Both betas are exclusively available to PS Plus subscribers on PlayStation 4. The main Monster Hunter: World game is not required to take part, and the beta will be available to pre-load before launch
The beta includes three, skill-based quest options, including the Great Jagras hunt for beginners, a horned brute wyvern Banbaro for intermediate players, and the fan-favourite Tigrex for experienced monster hunters. All 14 weapon types can be tested, as well as the new Slinger tool options, including the Clutch Claw grapple mechanic.
Completed beta quests will reward players with a maximum of three item packs that can be used in the full expansion when it is released later this year.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will come to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2019. Capcom says a PC release will follow in winter.
