The My Nintendo rewards programme has been updated with new gold and platinum point discounts, plus a new 3DS Zelda theme.
Five games get Gold and Platinum point discounts on Wii U and 3DS. The pick of the bunch is a 40% reduction on the Wii’s Super Mario Galaxy, playable on Wii U. Also recommended is the Wii U Virtual Console release of F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, and the riotous Nintendo 3DS RPG, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros.
The 3DS also gets a new The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild theme, priced at 20 gold points. And Nintendo has also issued a range of PDF guidebooks that act as primers for a range of first and second party games. Each one costs 10 Gold points.

- Kirby’s Blowout Blast (30% discount on 3DS) – 20 points
- Nintendo Selects: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. (40% discount on 3DS) – 80 points
- Super Mario Galaxy (40% discount on Wii U) – 80 points

- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 10 Gold points
- Splatoon 2 – 10 Gold points
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 10 Gold points
- Super Mario Odyssey – 10 Gold points
- Metroid: Samus Returns – 10 Gold points
And don’t forget, you can now redeem My Nintendo gold points against any Nintendo Switch game on the eShop. Here in the UK, 1 Gold Point has a redeemable value of 1p.
