This week’s roster of new Nintendo Switch eShop releases includes a drink with the devil, a puzzling murder, and some intrepid Pokémon.
We’re pleased to report that some great games are on their way to the Nintendo Switch this week. First up is the surprise release of Afterparty, the latest game from Oxenfree creators Night School Studio. The game follows the exploits of college graduates Milo and Lola who must win a drinking contest with the devil himself. It’s a humorous and quirky adventure with a surprisingly warm heart. It’s also good to see the return of Oxenfree’s innovative dialogue system.
We also expect some sparkling dialogue in Murder By Numbers, the new detective-noir puzzle game from Mediatonic. Sword of Ditto‘s Ed Fear pens a ‘campy warm hug’ of a whodunnit that’s sprinkled with Picross puzzles to solve. The game also includes characters designed by Hato Moa and music from Masakazu Sugimori.
Our final highlight is Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX. It’s a visually stunning update of the 2005 Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance dungeon crawler. A free demo is available on the Nintendo eShop if you want to try before you buy.
Other new games include AvoCuddle, Lost Horizon, and The Story Goes On.
Here’s the current lineup of upcoming Nintendo Switch releases. We’ll keep the list updated throughout the week.
