Dark Light

Take a look at the week’s upcoming PlayStation Store releases for the PS4 and PS5.

Sonic creator Yuji Naka returns to the fray this week with Balan Wonderworld, the first game developed in partnership with publisher Square Enix. It’s fair to say that the recent demo divided players, but we’re always keen to try quirky new platformer, and from what we’ve seen, Balan Wonderworld certainly fits that description.

This week’s other highlight is It Takes Two, the latest adventure from Hazelight Studios, creators of A Way Out. The game can only be played with a friend, either online or via split-screen co-op. Generously, each copy of the game includes a Friend’s Pass, which lets owners invite a buddy to join in.

We also recommend giving the spaghetti-western stealth game El Hijo: A Wild West Tale a look.

Finally, the game name of the year is ready to be awarded, and it goes to Love Live! School Idol Festival: After school ACTIVITY – Wai-Wai! Home Meeting!! (We dare not look to see what the game is actually about.)

We’ll update this post throughout the week with any late additions. Here are your new PlayStation Store releases.
