This week’s lineup of new PlayStation Store releases for the PS4 and PS5 includes Battlefield 2042 and two cult classic remasters.
Battlefield 2042 blazes onto PlayStation following the lukewarm reception given to Activision’s Call of Duty: Vanguard. The latest FPS from Dice leans heavily into the franchise’s history with the new Portal mode, so it will be interesting to see how it performs with fans and the wider audience.
Following last week’s disastrous launch of Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Definitive Edition, we have higher hopes for BloodRayne: ReVamped and BloodRayne: ReVamped 2, remasters of two well-liked hack and slash games from the early 00s.
Our final pick of the week is A Short Hike, Adam Robinson-Yu’s delightful, charming, and affecting tale of exploration and friendship. It’s a minor masterpiece and not to be missed.
As always, there’s likely to be some changes throughout the week. We’ll keep this page updated with any late additions to the PlayStation Store release lineup.
