Dark Light

Take a look at next week’s jam-packed lineup of new Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One releases.

There’s a surprisingly rich lineup of games coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S over the next seven days. One game we know is good is the previous Nintendo Switch console exclusive, Octopath Traveler. The distinctive art style is attention-grabbing, but the game also has the narrative and gameplay chops to back its stunning visuals. Octopath Traveler is also among this month’s crop of new Xbox Game Pass additions.

We’re not convinced that Balan Wonderworld – the latest game from Yuji Naka – is going to hit the mark, but we’re intrigued to see how this idiosyncratic platformer shapes up following its poorly received demo,

Our final pick is It Takes Two, the co-operative fantasy adventure from A Way Out developer Hazelight Studios. Once again, the studio is generously bundling each copy of the game with a Friend’s Pass so you can invite a buddy to play along for free.

Other new Xbox releases to check out include El Hijo: A Wild West Tale, Genesis Noir, and Kaze and the Wild Masks. As always, the release lineup is likely to change. We’ll update this page throughout the week with any late additions.
