Here’s your weekly round-up of games released on the Nintendo eShop for the Switch, 3DS and Wii U.
The Nintendo eShop buckled under the sheer weight of numbers over the Christmas period – something that probably indicates how well the Switch sold – but it now appears to up, running, and stable.
A fantastic year on Nintendo’s online store ends with a small clutch of new games. Energy Cycle, Sparkle Unleashed, and DragonFangZ were released earlier this week, and will soon be joined by Mecho Tales, and the deluxe edition of Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure.
The Ultimate Edition of Image&Form’s SteamWorld Heist also arrives on Thursday, and is an essential purchase if you are a fan of SteamWorld Dig 2, or fond of turn-based strategy games such as Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, or the X-Com series. If the £14.99 price tag puts you off, the original version is also sale for a mere £3.99 on the Nintendo 3DS.
On a personal note, I’m also pleased to see the Arcade Archives release of Taito’s classic 1987 side-scrolling beat ‘em up, Double Dragon.
Here’s the full Nintendo eShop release list.
