Here is this week’s roundup of Nintendo eShop game releases for the Nintendo Switch, 3DS and Wii U.
In recent years the release of Nintendo’s marquee autumn game was all Wii U fans had to look forward to. Not this year, however.
Although many of us are still playing through Super Mario Odyssey – 550 moons and counting – the games continue to come thick and fast for the Nintendo Switch.
This week’s highest-profile release is the Switch port of id Software’s 2016 reboot of Doom. We all know that it’s a great game, the big question is around how it will perform technically. One thing we do know for sure is that if you purchase the retail release, you’ll have to download the multiplayer mode separately if you want to play online.
This week also sees another middling 3D outing for Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic Forces, and the Switch edition of the surprisingly popular Farming Simulator.
Our indie pick of the week is the bonkers, but beautiful, Octodad: Dadliest Catch.
