Nintendo Switch eShop sale

There are discounts of up to 90% available in the new Nintendo Switch ‘Gaming on the Go’ sale.

Nintendo recently celebrated the release of one thousand video games on the Nintendo Switch. It’s quite the achievement, but as we’ve mentioned many times before, it can be hard to keep track of all the releases that arrive on Nintendo’s console each week.

You can follow our weekly eShop release round-ups, but the odd sale is also useful in reminding us of the games we might have missed.

The latest Switch digital sale – which is now running on the European Nintendo eShop – features a bunch of titles that are notionally suited for playing ‘on the go.’ This means games like Sidebar’s charming Golf Story, Thomas Happ’s impressive Axiom Verge, and Night School Studio’s Oxenfree.

Other recommended games include the Playdead duo Limbo and Inside, and overlooked gems like Battle Chasers: NightwarBlossom Tales: The Sleeping King, and The Gardens Between. Most sale titles are reduced until November 1, 2018, although a few are discounted for an extra week. Check the eShop in your country for full details. Here’s the full list of included games.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
