Nintendo Switch Sale

Following on from yesterday’s Nindie showcase, a new Nintendo eShop sale is discounting a modest selection of Switch games.

There was lots to looks forward to in the latest indie update from Nintendo, not least of which was Cadence of Hyrule, a new hybrid of Zelda and Crypt of the Necrodancer from Brace Yourself Games. Double Fine’s Rad also looked impressive, as did The Red Lantern, My Friend Pedro, and Neo Cab.

In the meantime, a new sale on the US Nintendo eShop is offering discounts of up 30% on a small collection of Switch indies. It’s not the biggest lineup of games we’ve ever seen – and nor are the discounts particularly large – but each title is top-notch.

Our chief recommendations are Campo Santo’s marvellous Firewatch, the effervescent Wandersong, and one of my personal favourite games of all time, Night in the Woods. Crimes!

Here’s the full list of sale titles. The discounts end on March 27, 2019, so have at ‘em.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
