SteamWorld Quest, Mortal Kombat 11, and the return of BoxBoy headline this week’s lineup of new eShop releases for the Nintendo Switch.
The first game to catch our eye in a busy week on the Nintendo eShop is Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Capcom’s acclaimed 2012 RPG wasn’t the biggest hit, but it has a strong cult following that will only grow with this accomplished Switch port.
Speaking of ports, it will be interesting to see how the Nintendo Switch edition of Mortal Kombat 11 fares. Previews suggest that performance and frame-rate have been the priority for NetherRealm’s porting partner, Shiver Entertainment.
The two Nintendo Switch games we’re most excited about are perhaps the most simple. BoxBoy! + BoxGirl! marks the Switch debut for Hal Laboratory’s charming puzzle platform series. A free – and highly recommended – demo is available now via the eShop. And Jupiter Corporation are back with another value-packed collection of nonograms to solve in Picross S3.
Image & Form Games also return with role-playing card game, SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech.
Here’s the full lineup of new Nintendo eShop releases. We’ll add more games to the list as they are confirmed throughout the week.
