This week’s lineup of new Nintendo Switch eShop releases is headlined by a collection of three classic RPGs.
Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend includes the Game Boy RPGs Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, and Final Fantasy Legend III. A series of enhancements allow you to adjust the screen size, change the background, and play in Tate Mode. The only downside – as pointed out by gaming historian Frank Cifaldi – is that the emulation doesn’t look up to the standard these classics deserve. Nonetheless, it’s an appealing compilation of retro gems.
Another highlight is Dicey Dungeons, the roguelike, deck-building game from Terry Cavanagh, developer of VVVVVV and Super Hexagon. The game won plaudits on its PC release for its metagame progression, appealing visuals, and a terrific soundtrack from Chipzel.
Other new Nintendo Switch releases include Team Ladybug’s acclaimed Metroidvina, Touhou Luna Nights, and rhythm-action remake, Deemo Reborn. We’ll update this post throughout the week with any late additions.
Update: Dec 15 – Today’s Nintendo Indie World video confirmed that Among Us – and couple of other titles – are coming to Nintendo Switch today.
