Two last-generation classics headline this week’s lineup of new Nintendo Switch releases.
The steady trickle of last-generation console ports continues with two more great games coming to Nintendo Switch this week.
Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation sneaks onto Nintendo Switch via Feral Interactive, the studio behind the excellent port of Grid Autosport. The new edition includes all of the game’s downloadable content packs, including the limited-issue Last Survivor expansion. It’s out today.
Speaking of ports, Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection also drops this week. It includes one of the series’ best games, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and the enjoyable companion piece, Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Touch screen controls, HD rumble and motion-assisted aiming are among the new features. Hopefully, both games are an improvement on the launch version of Assassin’s Creed III. That game featured a range of technical issues, and by the time they were patched, many players had already finished the game.
Other new releases include an HD remaster of sci-fi RPG Star Ocean First Departure R and family-friendly multiplayer game, Must Dash Amigos.
Here’s the current lineup of confirmed new Nintendo Switch releases. Check back throughout the week for news of any late additions.

We have a favour to ask
Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
