Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Digimon Survive headline a blockbuster week for new Nintendo Switch releases.

Nintendo’s impressive year of exclusives continues with this week’s release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Monolith Soft’s new role-playing game features a new cast of characters, a host of spectacular new environments, and another epic story. The soundtrack also promises to be a knockout.

You have to feel a little sorry for the long-awaited Digimon Survive, which is released on the same day but isn’t getting the same marketing push. The game – which marks the anime’s 25th anniversary – features a new group of kids who must survive a dangerous world of monsters.

This week’s other new Nintendo Switch releases include Lord Winklebottom Investigates and the return of arcade classic Avenging Spirit. We’ll update this page with any late additions throughout the week.

We hate to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. But it's difficult to make ends meet in online publishing at the moment, so if you'd like to help us continue our work, you could always buy the team a cup of coffee.
