The PlayStation Store Games Under $15/£13 sale features some of the finest indie games of the generation.

Often it’s the AAA games that get all the attention when it comes to PlayStation Store sales. This time, let’s focus on some of the best indies featured in the latest PSN ‘Games Under’ promotion.

The standout game is CrossCode, the retro-inspired 2D action RPG from Radical Fish Games. It’s a multi-layered adventure that tips its hat to Zelda and the classic role-playing games of the 16-but era, but has its own distinct identity.

Also recommended is Coffee Talk, the exquisite visual novel from Toge Productions. Set in a fantasy Seattle coffee shop, players must blend the perfect brew and serve an endearingly oddball cast of elves, mermaids, orcs and other beings. It’s a well-written tale and the perfect chill-out game for the approaching autumn evenings.

Other indie gems include the hit roguelike Dead Cells, spooky adventure Little Nightmares, and the majestic Metroidvania, SteamWorld Dig 2.

There are some AAA titles included in the sale, of course. Our picks are Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Nioh – The Complete Edition, and the mighty fine Codemasters racer, Grid.

Visit the official PlayStation Store for the full range of discounted games in your region. The sale runs until October 15, 2020. Here are some more recommendations.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
