Dark Light

Dreams, Darksiders Genesis, and remasters of two Yakuza games are among this week’s new PlayStation 4, PSVR, and PS Vita releases.

Someone wise once said, “Dreams can come true.” They also said, “Look at me, babe, I’m with you,” so it might not be the best quote to herald the long-awaited full release of Media Molecule’s latest creative toolkit.

Dreams has been in early access since April 2019, during which time we’ve seen some truly amazing user creations. Dreams is pitched as a game creation system, but we’re just as excited to see what the community creates using its music, animation, and video tools. Hopefully, it finds a broad audience.

This week’s PS4 release lineup also includes Darksiders Genesis, an impressive hack-and-slash RPG from Airship Syndicate that serves as a prequel to the franchise. This time around, Strife and War team up via the magic of co-op multiplayer to slay the dark lord Lucifer and his naughty minions.

Other recommendations include stained glass puzzle sequel Glass Masquerade 2, and remasters of Yakuza 3 and 5. Tennis fans should also check out the North American release of AO Tennis 2, the official game of the Australian Open. You can discover more about the game in our interview with BigAnt’s, Ross Symons.

Saboteur II: Avenging Angel, Project Starship, and Underhero are among the week’s other new games. Here’s the complete lineup of this week’s new PlayStation Store releases.
