Sony delivers three free games PlayStation Plus games for PS5 and PS4 in December 2020.
PlayStation Plus continues to top Xbox Games with Gold with a solid lineup of three games coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 next week. Whereas Microsoft continues to rummage around at the back of the cupboard for its freebies, Sony is debuting a brand new title backed by two relatively recent games from big publishers.
Team 17’s Worms series has never appealed to me but the latest effort, Worms Rumble, changes up the formula with an arena-based 32 player battle-royale and deathmatch format. Launching a multiplayer game on PS Plus did the business for Fall Guys and Rocket League, but will it do the same here?
December’s other PS Plus games are Just Cause 4, the fun open-world sandbox from Avalanche Studios, and Rocket Arena, the EA-published 3v3 third-person shooter that arrived with a shrug over the summer. It’s another game looking for that touch of PS Plus magic.
All three games are available to download between December 1, 2020, and January 4, 2021. Sony has also reduced the price of PS Plus sub in this week’s PSN Black Friday sale.

November’s PlayStation Plus games – Hollow Knight and Middle-earth: Shadow of War – are available to download until next week. Bugsnax remains available to PS5 subscribers until January 4, 2021.
