Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and MLB The Show 22 headline this week’s crop of new PlayStation Store releases for the PS5 and PS4.

For the first time, all nine mainline Star Wars films get the Danish brick treatment in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. We’re not entirely convinced that Traveller’s Tales can maintain a consistently engaging experience across such a long and sprawling storyline, but good jokes are guaranteed, and it looks spectacular.

This week’s other highlight is the latest entry in Sony’s polished baseball simulation franchise. MLB The Show 22 includes a host of on the field improvements, plus cross-platform play and cross-save support. Handy, as the game is also coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox Game Pass.

Other new PlayStation releases include the long-awaited JRPG remaster Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition and retro-style racing game Slipstream. Keep an eye on this page for additional updates throughout the week.

We hate to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. But it's difficult to make ends meet in online publishing at the moment, so if you'd like to help us continue our work, you could always buy the team a cup of coffee.
