This week’s lineup of new PlayStation releases is dominated by compilations and remasters of classic video games.
Top of the list is Sonic Origins, a new collection of four classic Sonic games. The package includes Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD, and Sonic The Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles.
We’re more excited by Capcom Fighting Collection, which includes 10 beat ’em ups from the ’90s and early noughts, including some that only received limited distribution outside of Japan. Check our Xbox release update for the full lineup.
Westwood Studios’ classic point-and-click adventure Blade Runner also gets a subtle remaster courtesy of Nightdive Studios. The Enhanced Edition features upscaled HD graphics, SMAA anti-aliasing, anisotropic texture filtering, and improved video frame rates.
Other new PS4 and PS5 releases include AI: The Somnium Files Nirvana Initiative, The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle, and a trio of Shadowrun remasters. We’ll update this page throughout the week with any updates or changes.
