Everything announced on last night’s PlayStation State of Play

Dark Light

Anything Nintendo and Microsoft can do, Sony can do reasonably well, too. Here’s everything announced on last night’s PlayStation State of Play.

Last night saw the debut of State of Play, a new semi-regular video broadcast from Sony detailing upcoming PlayStation 4 titles. We’d say it was kind of like a Nintendo Direct, except it was exactly like a Nintendo Direct. All in all it was a decent first effort, with some new game announcements, and new footage from some upcoming titles including Day’s Gone and Mortal Kombat 11.

The first State of Play was also heavily focussed on Playstation VR. It featured the public unveiling Iron Man VR, and new action game from Camoflaj, developers of Republique, plus news of No Man Sky‘s new VR mode, and a virtual reality edition of Five Nights at Freddy’s.

There was also a closer look at London Studio’s upcoming shooter, Blood & Truth, which featured an abundance of dodgy accents alongside some endearing PS2-era gameplay.

Other highlights from the first State of Play were Robot Entertainment’s exuberant team dungeon crawler, ReadySet Heroes, and No Code’s sci-fi thriller, Observation.

Here’s the full list of games and release dates announced on the show.
