Kingdom Hearts III Rapunzel Tangled

Get your first in-depth look at Corona, the world from Disney’s Rapunzel movie Tangled, in Kingdom Hearts III.

There was a time when we were doubtful we’d ever see Kingdom Hearts III. It had been delayed and pushed back and omitted so many times that it almost felt like vapourware.

Then, in the run-in to E3 2018 Square Enix showed off a Kingdom Hearts III trailer, which unveiled the release date. Then at the event proper, we went hands-on with the game for the first time. (In summary: it’s a Kingdom Hearts game, just like mama used to make. If you wanted something new or different, then you’ll be disappointed, but if you want more of the same? You’re in luck.)

With the Kingdom Hearts III release date set for January 29, 2019 – and that’s their final offer, we hear – we’re on the home stretch. And with Red Dead Redemption 2 out of the way, you can expect the full PR offensive for Kingdom Hearts III to kick off in earnest, ramping up from now until the game’s January release.

Today’s tasty morsel is a trailer from the Italian Lucca 2018 Comics and Games event, which features our first full look at Sora and the crew in Rapunzel’s world.

We’ve seen snippets of ass-kicking princess Rapunzel and roguish bandit Flynn Rider in previous trailers, but this is our first look at Kingdom Hearts III’s take on Corona, the setting for the Disney movie Tangled.

Much like our thoughts on the game itself, it looks like everything we’d expect it to be.
