The upcoming remake of Secret of Mana is due out on PS4 and Vita, but the game’s producer has weighed in on whether it might head to Nintendo’s hybrid.

In a recent interview with IGN, producer Masaru Oyamada spoke about the likelihood of the game making its way to the Switch:

“When we originally started to develop this title, the Switch wasn’t announced at that time, and so we started developing for the PlayStation platforms. With that said, after announcing this, there has been quite a bit of demand for the Switch version. So, we are taking in that feedback, and if there is large demand for it we’d like to see what we can potentially do. But no plans as of yet.”

As one of the best RPGs ever made, and considering it debuted for the SNES, it would be a real treat to see Secret of Mana on the Nintendo’s hybrid.

Given the growing popularity of the Switch, a lot of developers are flocking to it, and something like Secret of Mana is perfect for portable and sofa-bound play
