Upcoming adventure game, The Sexy Brutale, gets a PlayStation 4 disc release courtesy of BadLand Games.
The Sexy Brutale is one of the most intriguing indie games on the horizon. Set during a masked ball held at a grand casino mansion, players assume the role of elderly priest Lafcadio Boone, who must solve, and then prevent, a series of murders in a repeating Groundhog Day-like loop.
The game – which has been co-developed by Tequila Works and Cavalier Game Studios – is set for digital release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and will now also see a physical release on Sony’s home console. The Sexy Brutale: Full House Edition includes a copy of the game, an official soundtrack CD, and a full colour manual detailing the inspirations behind the game.
Depending on the retailer there are also two pre-order bonuses available. The first is a booklet of art from the game that includes unseen images and concepts from the game’s development. The second is a six-page comic book penned by artist, Enrique Fernandez.
Luis Quintans, CEO of BadLand Games, said :
“The Sexy Brutale is one of the most remarkable games we have seen, and we’re absolutely delighted to be bringing it to physical retail. Solving murders by reliving an unending cycle of death is a great concept on its own — and a worthy addition to the adventure genre.”
The Sexy Brutale will be released at retail for PlayStation 4 on April 11, 2017.
